What it does
Pattern data on Steam items
Shows pattern ranking, special patterns, prices, and pattern previews for the item you are viewing.
Inspect-link tools anywhere
Hover a CS2 inspect link on any site to inspect it in game or send it to your Dispattern account.
Send to Dispattern server
Delivers an inspect link to your Dispattern account straight from the Steam inventory Inspect menu.
Gem and phase badges
Shows optional Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald, Black Pearl, and Phase 1-4 badges on supported inventory items.
Inventory and market helpers
Sorts inventories by price or float and adds image arrows on Steam Community Market listings.
Popup, settings, and theme
The popup shows your Dispattern.com status and shortcuts, and every feature can be toggled off in the settings page.

What the extension touches
- · Reads item data on Steam pages you open - name, paint index, pattern seed, float, stickers, and charms - only to look up the item you are viewing.
- · Fetches pattern data and images from dispattern.com and disfile.dispattern.com.
- · Sends an inspect link to your Dispattern account only when you click Send to server.
- · Stores settings in browser extension storage until you change them or uninstall the extension.
- · Does not execute remotely hosted code.
- · Sends nothing on non-Steam sites unless you click a CS2 inspect-link action.
Dispattern Companion Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the Dispattern browser extension (Chrome Web Store, and Firefox where published) collects, uses, stores and shares user data. It also covers the Dispattern services the extension calls: dispattern.com and disfile.dispattern.com.
1. Data the extension collects
- Item data from Steam pages you open: item name, skin, paint index, pattern seed, wear (float), inspect certificate or inspect link, stickers and charms. Collected only to look up the item you are viewing.
- Inspect links you choose to send: when you click "Send to server", the inspect link is sent to your Dispattern account. A Steam inspect link can contain the owner's public SteamID64 and asset ID.
- Your Dispattern account status: when you open the popup, the extension asks dispattern.com who is signed in, using your existing dispattern.com session in the browser. The extension does not read that cookie itself.
- Settings: feature toggles, theme and quick sell undercut.
- Server logs: our servers record IP address, user agent, time and endpoint for each request, for security and abuse prevention.
The extension does not collect Steam passwords, Steam Guard codes, payment details, email addresses, messages, location or browsing history. On websites other than Steam it only reacts to CS2 inspect links you hover, and it sends nothing unless you click.
2. Data used only on your device
- Your Steam Community session id is read from the Steam page only when you click a sell button, and is sent only to steamcommunity.com to create that listing. It is never sent to Dispattern.
- Your SteamID and wallet currency on Steam are read in the page to tell whether the inventory is yours and to calculate Steam fees. They are not sent to Dispattern.
3. How we use data
- To show pattern ranking, special patterns, craft matches, recent sales, prices and pattern previews for the item you view.
- To deliver an inspect link to your Dispattern account when you ask for it.
- To keep the service secure and working.
We do not use data for advertising, profiling, credit or lending decisions, and we do not sell it.
4. Storage and retention
- On your device: settings are kept in browser extension storage (chrome.storage.sync) until you change them or uninstall the extension. Items picked for a trade offer are kept in chrome.storage.local for at most 5 minutes. API responses are cached in memory for 5 minutes.
- On our servers: item lookups are not linked to your identity. Inspect links you send are stored in your Dispattern account until you delete them or ask us to. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operations.
5. Sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade user data and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. Data is shared only:
- with Steam (steamcommunity.com), when you start an action there such as listing an item, using your own Steam session;
- with service providers that host our infrastructure, only to run Dispattern;
- when required by law or to protect users and the service.
Marketplace links in the extension may carry Dispattern referral codes. Opening them takes you to that site under its own privacy policy. The extension does not send them any data.
6. Permissions
- storage: saves your settings and the short-lived trade pre-selection.
- Access to dispattern.com and disfile.dispattern.com: fetches pattern data and images, and delivers inspect links you send.
- Scripts on Steam inventory and trade offer pages: add the Dispattern buttons and panels.
- Script on other websites: detects CS2 inspect links when you hover them.
7. Your choices
You can turn each feature off in the popup, clear the extension data by removing the extension, and ask for access to or deletion of data linked to your Dispattern account by writing to support@dispattern.com.
8. Children
Dispattern is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Security
All transfers use HTTPS. API requests from the extension are limited to a fixed list of paths.
10. Changes
We will update the date above when this policy changes. Important changes will also be posted on this page.
